I planted a Eugenia tree in each of the places where I lived with my mother, as an attempt to strengthen and reconnect with the memory that inhabits those spaces. Each tree is a living imprint, a witness to the mother-daughter bond, an anchor to the memories that now have roots. It is, in essence, a quest to make the relationship between memory and land tangible.
