The project emerges as a sensorial and symbolic exploration of the skin, that vast canvas on which disease, imperfection, and the imprint of time are inscribed. It seeks to make visible what is usually veiled: the fissures, reliefs, and marks that tell silenced stories. In this transition, medications, particularly creams, take on a unique role, transforming into a kind of second skin—an artificial membrane that mediates between wound and healing, between the flesh and the norm.
Similarly, clothing comes into play as a symbolic extension of the body: not only as a protection, but as an act of exposure, a tangible manifestation of the cutaneous experience. Clothing thus becomes a third epidermal layer, a surface where the texture of disease and aesthetics intertwine in an incessant dialogue.
Initially, the project addresses dermatitis, cellulite, stretch marks, and blemishes—territories where the skin expresses itself with its own language of irregularities. However, as the project expands, its gaze will open toward a broader exploration of the multiple skin issues, embracing the skin as an infinite field of meanings, memories, and resistance.
