Bleeding Out: about power and constructing the menstrual body

The project is born from the unique experience of female bleeding. Menstruation has historically and culturally been surrounded by taboos and negative stigmas, and has been associated with witchcraft and curses. However, blood, on the contrary, rather than representing a lack of power, is power itself. Therefore, elements such as chess and the rose are used as pretexts to discuss the power dynamics surrounding the menstrual blood, and a call is made to cacao and the habanero pepper, in the quest to give blood a body. A body that maintains a relationship with the ancestral female lineage and whose properties allow it to be cleansed and protected.
